MOVIE REVIEW FOR WEAPONS.

Overall I thought the movie Weapons was different and entertaining however there were some plot holes and pointless jump scares in the beginning of the movie. I would give this movie 8/10.

The director does a great job at holding your attention. There is not a dull moment in the movie that makes you fall asleep. I like that the movie shows every character point of view in the same storyline. This is a unique style of movie narration. The director took risk with throwing us viewers in the mix of all the crazy action. The camera work is exceptional. I would not say this movie is scary as a horror movie genre fan. It was more so funny at the end when the old lady was getting torn apart. The main villain which was Gladys the old woman was very creepy without her wig which she reminded me of the old Demi Moore in The Substance. The plot holes were these….

  • Why were the kids running that way?

  • How did the old lady learn to do the magic tricks?

  • Why was she doing all those magic tricks?

  • What happened to the kids at the end after the old lady died?

This movie is worth watching at least once because of how unique and entertaining it was. I would only watch this movie again with someone else. I do enjoy re watching movies.

MOVIE REVIEW FOR THE SMASHING MACHINE.

WARNING SPOILERS AFTER THIS LINE.

I honestly went into this movie thinking it would be like another one of The Rock's other movies where it feels like he plays himself but this movie truly displayed his acting talent. It was the best acting all year even Christopher Nolan told The Rock it was the best acting all year. The movie has a lot of scenes of him and his wife arguing and having normal dialogue like a real life couple. That made the movie feel realistic. The movie plot can only be told in so many ways as a fighter who trains for a match and then the match takes place. You can guess how that would go. The way the film was shot was very beautiful in a way where it reminds me of like a boudoir photoshoot. It feels personal from the viewer point of view. At the end when he loses the fight and feels accepting of it can be very relatable to how many other people feel in their life journey. Overall, I would rate the movie an 8/10. As for the acting from The Rock it'd be 10/10. Emily Blunt gets a 9/10 acting.

I would watch this movie again.
